Van der Vaart tells Atletico Madrid striker Depay: Less time in gym

Former Real Madrid star Rafael van der Vaart says Atletico Madrid striker Memphis Depay is the best player Holland has.

But Van der Vaart says Depay needs more minutes to be at his peak for the Euros.

He said on Studio Voetbal: "Depay is our best player.

"If he is in good shape in the summer, we will have some chances at the European Championship. Otherwise I don't see any option for the Netherlands.

"Memphis has a lot of qualities, even if I think he is too muscular. For me it would be prudent make him do less work in the gym."
